The E-Class knows its driver like no other vehicle. It’s an intelligent system, built to learn individual routines and adapt automatically to everyday life. Very often, smart features like this are communicated in a cold, dry way. But we are convinced: even as technology advances, the relevance of human connection remains constant.
So, for our campaign, we chose light-hearted over too serious, playful over stiff, and approachable over distant. At its core, one simple thought guided us: if a car knows you that well, anyone who drives it will get to know you better too. This idea inspired In Her Shoes – the story of Antonio Banderas, who gets to know his daughter, Stella Banderas, better by driving her E-Class for a day. A story about bridging generational and gender gaps – all while having fun.
The full-funnel campaign under the umbrella of Knows your day. Drives your way. was executed globally across all touchpoints. Its core idea – getting to know someone better by driving their E-Class – offered several playful interpretations: from an entertaining social media format in which influencers from completely different worlds drove each other’s E-Classes, to swapping cars with cultural icons to experience their routines and test-drive the new model.
